Helen
Gallop - Centre Co-ordinator
Helen
is Centre Co-ordinator and a partner in Summerhouse. Helen started
the Centre with her mother Sheila Weston in 1982. She has
the BHSI certificate and has competed at advanced level in Horse
Trials, Show Jumping and Dressage
Helen has competed Summerhouse Freedom in 1m 40 jumping
classes and Derbys and Summerhouse Chazwick at 1.30m
and Advanced Dressage. She is currently competing Summerhouse
Cruiseman, a homebred youngster, currently jumping 1.25m and
Medium level Dressage. Raffles, a Dutch Warmblood by Concorde,
jumping 1.30m and Contino, a Belgium Warmblood 6yr old. Helen
is also just starting training a 4yr Dutch Warmblood stallion
by Good Times & 4yr Dutch Warmblood gelding by Onze Fonze.
Helen spends most of her time either on the road visiting different
NVQ Training Locations such as Talland, or at various Education
Training Meetings around the Country. Any other time is
spent catching up on the paperwork pile, training her horses and
teaching.
Helen's aim is to take her 3 horses to Grade A and to ride Summerhouse Cruiseman in a Prix St.George. |

Sheila Weston - Partner
Sheila
is a Partner at Summerhouse and started the school by first
running Riding Holidays here. She has been instrumental
in the setting up of the school and ran the Centre when Helen
was training and competing. Sheila is now retiered & is enjoying
travelling & golf.
Sheila has her BHSAI and is an NVQ assessor. |

John
Weston - Partner
John
is a Partner at Summerhouse and although not horsey has, in
the past, kept busy running his own engineering business. He
has always had time to support Helen in her competitive career
and help with building projects and essential maintenance at
Summerhouse. John is now retiered & is enjoying travelling
& golf.
John has
been involved in the management of the business together with
the accounts and budgets. |

Martine
Winter-Alsop - Yard
Manager/Chief Instructor
Martine is
Chief Instructor and has been with Summerhouse since 1989.
Martine has her BHS II and is an NVQ Internal Verifier.
She is involved in helping students of all ages and standards
achieve their potential and desired certificates. Martine
also trains the competition horses in Helen's absence. |

Denise
Barker - Reception
Team Leader
Denise
has been with Summerhouse since 1995. Denise is responsible
for a team of receptionists who run the front of the house and
ensure that all Summerhouse clients are looked after and their
every need is seen to. She also runs the Summerhouse Pony Club.
Denise is always listening to her clients to put on events that
they request and to makes changes as necessary to ensure
the clients always come first!
Denise enjoys looking after their horse Bobby Sox and watching
her daughter, Nicki, ride and compete. |

Helen
Munro - Administrator
Helen's
previous career was in hotel and catering, working for large
hotel chains including Forte and Moat House. This changed in
1998 when she joined Summerhouse to take over the "paperwork"
plus a few other challenges.
Her achievements to date include: Investors in in People 'Key
Champions Award' Contributing to the Investors In People, assisting
with the LSC Inspection (Grade 1), plus 'sorting out' and maintaining
the ever increasing filing system.
On a personal note she rides and competes her horse Dudley in between looking after her husband and four cats. She
is also Secretary for the Stroud branch of 'Cats Protection'. |

Irma
Sutton - NVQ Co-ordinator
Irma
started at Summerhouse in June 2002 as a Senior Instructor and
is now NVQ co-ordinator. She moved
here from Holland with her horse Jeremy. Irma has the Dutch equivelent
of the BHSI. Irma is an NVQ Internal Verifier.
She and Jeremy compete at Advanced level dressage. She competes Summerhouse Contino
at Elementary level dressage and Summerhouse Unicum at Novice level.
Irma has qualified Unicum and Contino for the Regional Dressage finals at Novice level. |

Helen
works one day a week keeping the Summerhouse accounts in order. |

Jane
Leach - Instructor
Jane joined Summerhouse in November
2004 and has now gained her BHSAI. Aswell as teaching Jane also takes an active role in the College Course. |

Kirsty
Rumney - Instructor/Assessor/Show Organisor
Kirsty joined us in June
2003 after doing an Equine Science degree. During her
time at Summerhouse she has obtained her Stage 3 and now
has her AI. Kirsty is currently training for Stage 4 and
IT. |

Sara
Gallop - Instructor/Competition
Groom/BSJA Course Builder
Sara
is Helen Gallop's daughter. She has her BHSII and will now be training for her stable managers. Sara regularly competes at Senior BSJA events &
is currently training Summerhouse Umorkus & Summerhouse Cruiseman in Affiliated Dressage
Competitions. She has also recently achieved her goal of qualifIing both of them for the Novice & Elementry Regional
Finals in August. |

Lisa
Wyllie - Trainee
Groom
Lisa joined us in August 2004 and
has had an interest in horses for a number of years. She had
her own pony as a child and is now hoping to extend her knowledge
of working and caring for horses. She has her NVQ 1 and is working
towards her NVQ 2. |

Talbot - Trainee
Groom
Sarah joined Summerhouse in September
2003 to train as a groom and improve her knowledge of working
with horses. Sarah is working to achieve her NVQ 1. |

& Maintenance Ian joined Summerhouse
in 1992 and is invaluable on the yard where he assists in general
maintenance and horsecare. He has completed his NVQ level
1 and is working towards his NVQ level 2. Ian enjoys riding
Summerhouse Barney and Shani on a regular basis. |

Boakes - Receptionist
Stella joined us in March 05 as Receptionist. She has a horse of her own called Sam, who she rides regularly. She also has two dogs and enjoys motor sport. |

Hyett - Instructor
Rosie
joined the team in September 2003 and has achieved at Summerhouse
her FMA, AMA, Stage , Stage 2 and PTT. Rosie is now working towards
her Stage 3 . |

Bianca Perrett- Trainee Instructor
Bianca came to us in September from Hartpury. She now wants to begin taking her BHS exams and then to achieve her goal of becoming an instructor. |

Einzig - Instructor
Abi joined us in 1989 as a student. She
now has her BHS AI, IT and Intermediate Stable Managers and a BA (hons)
in English. Abi is an Instructor, Assessor, I.V and College
course lecturer. Abi has competed at Elementary and Medium Dressage,
and has her own horse called Dylan. |

in building, plumbing and maintenence. Louis is originally from
Malta where he used to race. |

Joined us in April 06 as a full time receptionist. Since being here she has started riding again after a 12 year break. She has now found her dream job with the combination of horses and admin, whilst still allowing her time to foster for the Stroud Cats Protection League. |

Maureen joined Summerhouse in June 2006, having moved down from Manchester. She has owned horses in the past and is now looking forward to starting the NVQ Coaching Unit. |

Gemma did a degree in geology and then went travelling around the world, she came back and gained her stage 3 and PTT at Hartpury. She started at SEC in August and is now looking to achieve her BHSAI and Stage 4 |
